Rampant Stormers put 13 past Boland Cavaliers

SIYA Kolisi’s star studded DHL Stormers team was way too strong for the Boland Cavaliers in a friendly at the Boland Stadium in Wellington on Friday night. The Stormers eventually won 87-5 after leading 49-0 at half time.
Both sides played with almost two full sets of teams but the Springbok-laden Cape franchise was always going to be too strong for a Cavaliers side who fielded no less than eight debutants in their starting line-up.
Damian de Allende and Ruhan Nel (centres) impressed early on with Kolisi not far behind. Later on the Du Plessis cousins, Jean-Luc and Dan dictated things in an open, running game.
For Boland Tapiwa Tsomondo (flank) tried his best but Boland was always up against it.
Scorers:
Stormers: JD Schickerling (2), Sikhumbuzo Notshe, SP Marais (2), Neethling Fouche, Ruhan Nel, Kolisi, Nico Leonard (2), Juarno Augustus, and Jaco Coetzee (2). Conversions: Marais (4), Damian Willemse (3) and JL du Plessis (4).
Boland: Try by Gavern Skippers.
